Mercy's multidisciplinary team approach to care includes diagnostic, treatment and support services to ensure the best treatment plan for cancer patients.

Weekly Tumor Board and Breast Conference meetings allow physicians and staff to review patient cases and reach consensus on treatment recommendations.

Nurse Navigators  Throughout the care process, nurse navigators are available to guide patients, caregivers and physicians. Available by request at any point, from diagnosis through treatment and follow-up, nurse navigators ensure smooth pathways, provide access to resources and information, and facilitate access to a variety of support services as patients face the challenges of a cancer diagnosis.

Through the Mercy Cancer Center, physicians will have access to
the newest targeted therapy technologies, they will have an opportunity to collaborate with colleagues on patient care
through their participation in multidisciplinary clinics and peer review, and they will have access to the high standards offered by an American College of Surgeons (ACoS) affiliated cancer program.
