New Neurosurgeon Joins Mercy Neurological Institute
 
Sacramento, CA, November 15, 2010 - Dr. Hamid Aliabadi, a board eligible neurosurgeon, joins the Mercy Neurological Institute of Greater Sacramento.
 
Dr. Aliabadi, recently completed his neurosurgical residency training and post-doctoral neuro-oncology research fellowship at Duke University. He received his medical degree from Medical College of Virginia at the Virginia Commonwealth University.
 
Dr. Aliabadi's clinical interests include brain tumor surgery and the surgical treatment of spine disease, including minimally invasive spine surgery, surgery for spine tumors, cervical artificial disc replacement and treatment of degenerative scoliosis. He is clinical faculty at the University of California, San Francisco Department of Neurological Surgery. He is also a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and the Congress of Neurological Surgeons.
 
Dr. Aliabadi is one of the primary investigators on a clinical study of stereotactic radiosurgery for brain metastases at Duke University.
